Woods Run Stormwater Project: Phase Two

Riverview Park is a city park located in the Perry North neighborhood. This project will use green stormwater infrastructure in the park to capture rainwater runoff, stabilize streams, and redirect and store stormwater.

To modernize our water infrastructure and add redundancy and resiliency throughout our drinking water system, we will construct a new pump station and rising main in Highland Park. These projects will serve the Highland Reservoir service area.

Four Mile Run Stormwater Project

The Four Mile Run Watershed encompasses Schenley Park and several Pittsburgh neighborhoods including Greenfield, Hazelwood, Oakland, and Squirrel Hill. After a lengthy review process with State regulators, Pittsburgh Water will pursue the design of a stormwater only pipeline in The Run neighborhood, located in the basin of the watershed. This project will help to reduce basement backups and neighborhood flooding that many residents in The Run have experienced.
